Tower of Babel, a 7DRL entry made in Twine

I just finished a beta version of Medieval Pits, which is in the testing phase, and accepted the 7DRL Jam challenge to create a complete roguelike in just 7 days. I started today and managed to design the story and the character creation section.
I started making a roguelike in VB many years ago, but never finished it. I've made a few text RPGs with Twine, but this is the first real roguelike I'm trying to make with Twine, without using a special library. Here's what I have:
The story: The Tower of Babel was a massive architectural undertaking that symbolized the power and unity of the nations. However, the attempt to reach the heavens resulted in the fragmentation of languages and the loss of the human ability to communicate. The once allied nations turned against each other, and the reality inside the tower became distorted. Some became desperate, while others turned into aberrations. In the midst of the chaos, a wizard attempted to master the curse by writing the Malscriptum, an unholy book that drives those who read its cursed words mad. Now, as an explorer or survivor, your mission is to traverse the levels of the tower and find the scattered scrolls to find a way to reverse the curse.
Character creation: You can choose a class, origin, and distribute stat points. Classes are: Warrior, Mage, Rogue, Cleric, and Scholar. Origin determines the language the character speaks: Urshaki (warrior culture, stone inscriptions), Zar'Ka (arcane scribes, magical pictograms), Nimari (merchant sailors, melodic language), Varkathi (engineers and inventors, numeric code), Selkhan (descendants of priests, whispered prayers). Each origin grants two special abilities. Attributes: Strength, Dexterity, Agility, Endurance, Intelligence, Will, and Perception. Stats include Sanity and combat modifiers. Each class starts with default skills. Each origin provides additional skill bonuses. Skills are: Melee, Ranged, Barter, Trap Handling, Stealth, Lockpicking, Pyromancy, Electromancy, Restoration, and Divination.
With that done, the next step is the random map generator.
